Everybody in the UAE is obsessed with their smartphone. And it’s fun to ring the changes by customising (or changing) your phone case. Here at Transformers, we’ve got it covered… with a choice of art-based activations to transform your smartphone into a collectible fashion accessory. Ideally suited for design-led brand activations and seasonal events, the phone covers make for a highly individual take on swag, with users designing their own “keeper” on a new or existing case, with help from our artists.
We partner with up-and-coming (and often already high profile) artists to hand paint your phone cover in your choice of style and colour, or with your name in Arabic calligraphy. Samples are created ahead of time to inspire new creations.
We can even paint with markers onto a new premium self-stick material, making the design removable at a later stage.
Our YrDesigner touch screen system enables you to select from a rich database of custom graphics to create an original design, which is then printed on the spot. T shirt, mug, water bottle and bag design & printing also available. Case study here.

At the recent Honor launch in hip Art Sawa, users designed Honor7 phone covers, which were printed and heat pressed within 1 minute. Our fun custom graphics included various rhapsodies in Honor blue.
A couple of days later, lucky Huawei guests designed and printed unique swag bags to carry home their generous press gifts (a Mate S phone and SmartWatch W1, no less!). This time, Huawei’s red was very much to the fore in the collection of cool artworks and graphics we curated for the event.
YrWall Touch is the all-new, super-bright touch screen LED version of the famous Digital Graffiti Wall by Luma, first introduced by Transformers to the Middle East back in 2012.
Recently revealed by in Shanghai for Nike (watch the video), YrWall Touch runs the same popular software but is operated with a special pen, or the user’s fingers, as opposed to the virtual graffiti can. This makes for a less “street” experience but provides a highly versatile platform for engagement through interactive art at corporate and brand events. The slimmer, fully-branded housing, seen this week at Gitex and a Huawei press event, also makes the wall feasible in smaller activation spaces such as malls and concourses. Available with a 70″ screen (90″ coming soon).
Huawei Arabia‘s regional launch at Madinat Arena, staged during the crescendo to Gitex Shopper, was truly spectacular. Top Dubai agency Bluefish commissioned TransformersDXB to produce two Golden Wonder showstopper costume characters to complement the glamorous black & gold colour scheme. After staging a pose-off with guests during arrivals hour, our Instagram-tastic golden girls took part in a stunning reveal sequence, before posing for even more selfies.
Transformers‘ Managing Director Danielle Nay has inked this article for the new issue of Spectator Life! Previous contributors to The Spectator include Winston Churchill, Grahame Greene, Kingsley Amis, John Cleese and Joan Collins. Gulp.
MINI‘s Torque Days at Yas Marina Circuit were a hot ticket for MINI fanatics in the UAE. With virtually instant printing, over 300 unique T-shirts were produced over 4 days.
